Lucy McEachan

Lucy McEachan presents a new video and mixed media installation for Transmission. She looks at the natural environment as a focus for the work, and finds in it the most ludicrous and disgusting elements, hijacking them and breaking away from their romantic archetypes like the previously credible ‘Aliens’ series was seized by a great French director and filled with pustulating blobs, space babes and watery eyed brutes. Her simple constructions and fragments reveal a fascination with the unreal and the absurd, with a pedantic interest in the conventions of filmmaking.Lucy has previously shown at Tramway and the Glasgow Project Room.
