The artworks I make act as possible entry points for communication or transformation and question the possibility of the individual in society. They reflect an ongoing interest in the role of technology (in it’s widest forms) as a measure of a cultures progress.
Most works are intended to be viewed in a one-to-one manner often enlisting scale, mimetic and anthropomorphic qualities which initiates an allegory between the viewer and the work. Methods and means of production are visable and the materials used are generally available - such as rocks, bricks, sand, video cassettes - thus resulting in the works possessing a rudimentary aesthetic and a relationship with the viewer that is at once both ancient and contemporary.
