I make associations from the materials I use and the connotations that they may have in the physicality of the proposed piece, either during the making stage or when the work is finished.

Previous work has dealt with, ideas of western status symbols as talismans or trinkets, and the idea of primitive tribes and beliefs being alien to our western culture. Most recently my practice has been concerned with ideas of death and rebirth and various beliefs in life after, actual and symbolic death.
