[We are sorry to say that due to the impacts of Covid-19, this exhibition will stay closed for the remainder of its run]

Inspired by Fannie Sosa's 'A White Institutions Guide to Welcoming Artists of Colour and their Audiences', Transmission has been trying to reimagine what an alternative to a white institution could look like.

Working with a group of five artists to write a short piece of text on their ideal institutional working practice that would be the basis of the show physically presented on the walls of the gallery. This has stemmed from an interest in examining how we perform different languages of critique and resistance in relation to the white institution Fannie Sosa addresses.

In addition to this, there will be a series of film works by/curated by each participating artist on show in the basement of the gallery and a billboard on Trongate with a text by Sulaïman Majali.

Preview: Friday 21st February, 18:00 - 20:00
