Artist Statement:

Through the varied media of photography, drawing, painting, installations, and video, I investigate what it means to be alive today. My approach is sometimes political, direct, unveiled & blunt, while at other times the work is more multilayered, poetic and ambiguous. What you see, is not necessarily the truth, or even my truth...

What you see, is not necessarily the truth, or even my truth...

In my works, the viewer is more likely to be faced with a never ending array of questions - from the critical to the investigative.

I urge to expose the intricate fabric of social relations based on identity, culture, and subjectivity, addressing roles in society with particular reference to sexuality, objectification, violence and the interface between our inner and outer selves.

My aim is to engage the viewer in conflicting emotions of allure and calmness as well as worry and discomfort.
