About Transmission

Founded in 1983, Transmission is an artist-run space committed to alternative programming, long-term relationship-building, and radical community care.
Our ethos is rooted in liberation, abolition, and collaboration. We curate intentional spaces for joy, learning, and healing, where creatives, artists and organisers can thrive.

As a committee, we function within a mutual aid framework, offering in-kind support to projects aligned with Transmission’s values. This is an essential way we live out our political commitments.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome enthusiastic, collaborative individuals with any of the following skills:

🔹 Facilitation & Hosting – Holding space for community events and discussions.
🔹 Curatorial Practice – Experience in exhibition-making, programming, or creative curation.
🔹 Finance & Admin – Budgeting, funding applications, reporting, and note-taking archiving.
🔹 Community Organising – Working with diverse groups and grassroots initiatives.
🔹 Front of House & Communications– Acting as a first point of contact and supporting outreach.
